Explosion-proof certification
Every explosion-proof claim on this site is backed by a certificate held by the manufacturer: EU Type Examination Certificates (ATEX, Directive 2014/34/EU) issued by CML B.V. (Notified Body 2776) for CMA GR series robots, Chinese Explosion Protection Certificates of Conformity (GB/T 3836) held by CMA for the same GR series, and a GB/T 3836 certificate issued by NEPSI for the SR series. The register lists each certificate as issued, including validity dates; click a certificate number to open the PDF.

Chinese explosion-proof certificates (GB/T 3836) — CMA GR series
The same GR series robots also hold Chinese Explosion Protection Certificates of Conformity, issued to CMA (Wuhu) Robotics by the National Explosion-proof Product Quality Inspection and Testing Center (Tianjin), PCEC. These are the certificates a buyer in China, the CIS or a GB-referencing specification will ask for. Where a model holds both an ATEX and a Chinese certificate, the marking that governs is the one belonging to the scheme your project is assessed under.

The GR6150 (2,900 mm) Chinese certificate CE20.50037 expired on 12 February 2025 and is therefore not listed as current here. For that model the valid document on file is ATEX certificate CML 20ATEX1065X; the renewed Chinese certificate is being requested from the manufacturer and will be published here with its number when received.
ATEX versus GB/T 3836
ATEX certificates are required for equipment placed on the EU market and are widely accepted elsewhere. GB/T 3836 is the Chinese explosion-protection standard series, technically aligned with IEC 60079; a NEPSI certificate is recognised in China and by many buyers in Asia, the Middle East and the CIS, but it is not an ATEX certificate. Where your project requires ATEX or IECEx, choose a CMA GR series model.
What the certificate covers
An EU Type Examination Certificate (Module B of Directive 2014/34/EU) covers the design of the equipment. For each delivered unit the manufacturer issues an EU Declaration of Conformity referencing this certificate and its production quality-assurance notification. IIC covers the most hazardous gas group (hydrogen, acetylene); IIB covers ethylene-type atmospheres; most solvent-paint booths are assessed as IIB or IIA — confirm with your own zone classification.
