Robot painting for bus and coach bodies
A bus-body line covers bodies of 12,500 × 2,550 × 3,300 mm and 5 t with six robots on six 15 m explosion-proof seventh axes, three dry booths of 19,000 × 6,800 × 5,300 mm with supply-air conditioning, three ovens and a 20 m heavy-duty roller bed — roughly twenty 40 ft containers. Three 2K coats: epoxy primer airless at 120–150 bar, PU filler by AirMix, acrylic-PU topcoat.

Figures come from the project records behind the linked projects below, not from a brochure. Your line will differ — these are what we actually built or engineered.
What we supply
- Line layout: booths, ovens, flash zones, conveyor and transfer car
- Robot count and track length from the body length and the required takt
- 2K mixing units, in-arm mixers and flushing — priced as named line items
- Supply-air conditioning and extraction sized with the booth
- A CPT option alongside EXW, so the buyer sees the landed cost
What this application taught us
On a line like this the value sits in the booths and the ovens, not in the robots. Any item named in the customer specification is quoted as a line, because an item not listed is an item supplied free later.
What we need from you
- Part drawings or dimensioned photographs, including the deepest recess to be coated or the full weld list.
- The paint or process specification: 1K or 2K, solvent or waterborne, powder, adhesive or wire, with the required film build or weld size.
- The required output — parts or jobs per hour — and the shift pattern.
- Booth or cell dimensions, the conveyor or hanger arrangement, and the hazardous-area classification your safety engineer has assigned.
