Ceramic glaze spraying

Glaze application on sanitary ware and tableware, where the glaze is abrasive, the ware is fragile and the booth is a classified area.

Not sure which robot this needs?

Where it is used

Sanitary ceramics — toilets, basins, cisterns — and tableware; single-robot booths to eight-robot glazing lines.

Robots we supply for it

  • CMA GR series (Ex for solvent-borne glaze systems)
  • EFORT ER six-axis for water-borne glaze
  • Glaze supply and recovery systems

Brands are supplied, not represented. Figures appear only where we hold the datasheet; see the products page for the model lists.

Typical configuration

  1. Robot with glaze gun and abrasive-resistant fluid path
  2. Glaze supply with agitation and recovery
  3. Turntable or conveyor with ware handling
  4. Booth with water curtain or dry filtration
  5. Scanning for ware identification on mixed lines

Pre-integration and factory acceptance test

The cell is assembled, wired and run in our workshop in Wuhu before it is crated. For this workstation type the FAT covers:

  • Spray pattern demonstrated on customer ware
  • Glaze circulation run; wear parts inspected after test
  • Ware handling cycle tested

You witness it on a video call or in person; the report with measured figures, photos and video ships in the technical package. How pre-integration works →

Questions we are asked about this cell

Why did ceramics automate early?

Glaze is abrasive, the ware is heavy and fragile, and the booth is a classified area — any one justifies a robot. The survey follows the ceramic process from moulding to kiln so the glazing cell fits the line.

Specify this cell in one sitting

The survey for this workstation type has 11 sections and about 82 questions — most are tick boxes. Online it saves as you type and gives you a reference number; the Word file is the same survey for e-mail.

Sections: Customer Basic Information · Product & Capacity Information · Moulding Area Process · Grinding & Trimming Area Process · Glaze Spraying Area Process · Kiln Area Process · Inspection & Packaging Area Process · Other Information · Site Utility & Installation Conditions · Commercial & Service Requirements · Supplementary Materials & Attachments Required

Or skip the wait: order the engineered proposal (S1) from USD 900 — credited in full against the equipment, refunded if the cell cannot meet your cycle time.

Send drawings and photos to sales@livespower.com with the reference number. No price is quoted before the part, the specification and the cycle time are known.
