Machine tending

CNC lathe and machining-centre loading with the fixture, the door interface and the part flow engineered for unattended running.

Not sure which robot this needs?

Where it is used

Turning and milling cells in automotive components, hydraulics, general engineering: one robot serving one to four machines, raw part in, finished part out, deburr and measure in between.

Robots we supply for it

  • EFORT ER six-axis
  • Moka MR series
  • Collaborative arms where the cell must stay open

Brands are supplied, not represented. Figures appear only where we hold the datasheet; see the products page for the model lists.

Typical configuration

  1. Six-axis robot, floor mount or on a linear track between machines
  2. Double gripper for load/unload in one entry
  3. Drawer, pallet or conveyor part presentation
  4. Machine interface: door opener, chuck control, cycle-start handshake
  5. Air blow-off, deburr and gauging stations as required

Pre-integration and factory acceptance test

The cell is assembled, wired and run in our workshop in Wuhu before it is crated. For this workstation type the FAT covers:

  • Load/unload cycle run against a machine simulator
  • Gripper tested on the smallest and largest part
  • Track motion and positioning repeatability recorded

You witness it on a video call or in person; the report with measured figures, photos and video ships in the technical package. How pre-integration works →

Questions we are asked about this cell

What do we need from the machine builder?

The machine's automation interface — usually a signal list and a door option. The survey asks for machine make and model so we can check the interface before quoting.

Specify this cell in one sitting

The survey for this workstation type has 7 sections and about 40 questions — most are tick boxes. Online it saves as you type and gives you a reference number; the Word file is the same survey for e-mail.

Sections: Customer Basic Information · Product Information · Application Information · Site Utility & Installation Conditions · Commercial & Service Requirements · Supplementary Materials & Attachments Required · Other Remarks

Fill in the survey online →   Download the Word file (.docx)

Or skip the wait: order the engineered proposal (S1) from USD 900 — credited in full against the equipment, refunded if the cell cannot meet your cycle time.

Send drawings and photos to sales@livespower.com with the reference number. No price is quoted before the part, the specification and the cycle time are known.
