Robot painting for metal parts on a hanging line
Small and medium metal parts on a continuous hanging line are coated by several short-reach robots in sequence. One delivered installation uses seven GR6150-1500 robots on a line running at 1.0 m/min with 200 mm hook pitch, 300 parts per hour and hangers rotating at 120 rpm, coating cylindrical parts of Ø152 × 810 mm and 60 kg including the bottom face.

Figures come from the project records behind the linked projects below, not from a brochure. Your line will differ — these are what we actually built or engineered.
What we supply
- Robot count derived from the coated area, the film build and the line speed
- Guns, pumps, regulators, back-pressure valves and day tanks per station
- Pressurised protection concept with the standards comparison table
- Pre-assembly and pre-commissioning in China before shipment
- Site assembly and commissioning crews with a defined duration
What this application taught us
Where the buyer works in a flameproof tradition, the standards comparison table goes into the first proposal rather than waiting for the objection — and quantity × unit price is re-checked line by line before the offer leaves.
What we need from you
- Part drawings or dimensioned photographs, including the deepest recess to be coated or the full weld list.
- The paint or process specification: 1K or 2K, solvent or waterborne, powder, adhesive or wire, with the required film build or weld size.
- The required output — parts or jobs per hour — and the shift pattern.
- Booth or cell dimensions, the conveyor or hanger arrangement, and the hazardous-area classification your safety engineer has assigned.
