Arc welding robots
Three EFORT ARC series arc welding robots: ARC10-1600 (10 kg, 1,604 mm), ARC12-1400 (12 kg, 1,479 mm) and ARC12-2000 (12 kg, 2,025 mm), all six-axis with ±0.03 mm repeatability and IP54 bodies with IP67 wrists. We supply them as complete cells — positioner, power source, torch and cell control — or as hardware only, supplied and integrated by LIVESPOWER.
Building car bodies? Arc welding cells are on this page; a body-in-white welding line, the tooling for a new model or the retooling of an existing shop is a different scope — it is in the body-shop section.
The three models

What a welding cell contains besides the robot
- Positioner — single-axis headstock–tailstock, two-axis L or C type, or a horizontal rotating frame, 300 to 2,000 kg. Full positioner table →
- Power source — inverter MIG/MAG, water-cooled pulse sources to 500 A where the duty cycle demands it.
- Torch package — water-cooled torch, anti-collision mount, torch cleaning and wire cutting station.
- Gas and wire — Ø0.8–1.6 mm solid or flux-cored wire, 80 % Ar + 20 % CO₂ or an 18 % CO₂ mix.
- Safety — guarding, light curtains or safety mats, door interlocks and a welding screen, written into a compliance table against your specification.
- Cell control — safety PLC, operator station and the interlocks between robot, positioner and power source.
- Seventh axis — a linear track where the weldment is longer than one reach radius. Track constructions →
- Vision — laser seam tracking or scanning path generation, where the part mix justifies it.
What we ask for before quoting a welding cell
- The weld list: seam positions, lengths, leg sizes and positions (flat, horizontal, vertical), and whether groove welds are included.
- Workpiece envelope, weight and annual quantity per variant.
- Fit-up tolerance — assembly angle and gap. A cell specified for ≤2 mm gaps will not weld a 4 mm gap, and that belongs in writing before production, not after delivery.
- Plate thickness range and material.
We have learned this the expensive way: shipping a welding station against an unsigned technical agreement is how a project ends in a dispute. A one-page capabilities-and-limitations confirmation is signed before production is scheduled. How we write an offer →

Frequently asked questions
Which arc welding robot do I need?
Start from the largest weldment, not the smallest. The ARC12-1400 at 1,479 mm reach suits parts presented on a two-station positioner; the ARC12-2000 at 2,025 mm handles frames up to about 2.5 m. All three carry 10–12 kg at the wrist, which covers a water-cooled torch with its cable package and an anti-collision mount.
Do you supply the whole welding cell?
Yes — robot, positioner, power source, torch, torch cleaning station, safety guarding and cell control, quoted item by item. We also supply hardware only when you have your own integration team.
What welding process and consumables?
MIG/MAG with 80 % Ar + 20 % CO₂ or 18 % CO₂ mixes and Ø0.8–1.6 mm solid or flux-cored wire is the standard configuration; 500 A water-cooled pulse sources are used where duty cycle demands it. TIG and other processes are quoted per project.
Can the positioner be an external axis?
Yes. The EFORT cabinets support up to three or four external axes depending on the cabinet, at 1 to 5.5 kW, so the positioner and a linear track can be synchronised with the robot rather than only indexed between passes.
What is the lead time?
A single-robot welding station is typically quoted at 6–10 weeks after deposit depending on the positioner and safety scope; hardware-only supply is shorter. Incoterms EXW, FOB, CIF or DAP.
