Wuhu, a city on the Yangtze in Anhui province, is one of China's main robot-industry centres. In 2013 it was approved as China's first national robot-industry agglomeration pilot; today more than 300 upstream and downstream robot companies work there, and the industry's output exceeded RMB 40 billion in 2024. Components, robots, system integration and applications are made within the same city.
