Twelve GR6150-2900 robots pre-fitted to OEM specification (arm-only supply)
Twelve CMA GR6150-2900 arms — six left-hand, six right-hand — supplied without paint equipment and pre-fitted to the customer's own specification: Siemens servo motors and drives, JH gearboxes, wall pass-through machining, Igus cabling and purge interlocks, function-tested as a complete station in China before shipment.
The problem the customer brought
An ageing paint shop that needed modernising.
Workpiece
Robot arms only, without paint equipment, for an OEM paint shop — 6 left-hand and 6 right-hand.
Robots
12 × CMA GR6150-2900 (painting M-type cabinet IP54, RP2-Pro, PNP16) with an online tracking module (AXL SE INC1 SYM encoder position detection).
Process and equipment
Pre-fitted to the customer's named specification: two Siemens servo motors per robot with drives and 30 m flexible cables, JH PGH060 gearboxes, gear-pump coupling extension shafts, third-axis mounting plates, first-axis wall pass-through machining (16×2 and 12×1 air-line holes, servo and encoder holes, PROFINET and 24 V holes, Ex cable glands), second-axis internal air lines, and 35 m Igus PROFINET and 24 V cabling. Power-up is permitted only after the purge cycle completes. The complete station, including the seventh axis, was function-tested in Wuhu before shipment.
Pre-integration and factory acceptance test
Equipment counted against the packing list; safety logic proven, robot paths run, electrical circuits and connections checked, inspection point by point before crating.
Delivery and site work
EXW Wuhu; road transport to the customer. On-site work by the customer's team: 60 days.
Commercial terms
Lead time 6–8 weeks, EXW; delivered in two batches.
Shipping terms on current projects: EXW, FOB, CIF or DAP. Customer names, plant locations and prices are not published.
Result
Delivered in two batches — six units first, then a repeat order of six plus one signed the following August at roughly 7 % higher unit price. On the second batch the payment terms moved from 30/70 to 20/80, the arm modification window stretched from 21 to 28 days and the production cycle was compressed from 45 to 22 days.
What we do differently because of this project
Customer-specified brands and part numbers go into the contract's technical description verbatim, with the note that they are customer-specified and that selection responsibility is not ours. Bonus units and offline-programming dongles are written as a discount substitute, or they are later treated as a free after-sales obligation.
